Chip Carving Pattern for Decorating Strops: Crossing Lines

I enjoyed carving this new chip carving pattern with crossing lines for a DIY leather strop. Chip carving lines is faster than carving individual chips, and I designed the layout with lines at 45 degrees to the grain to minimize wood splits. While the pattern is straightforward, it still demands precision. You must maintain the same angle across every line to keep the depth consistent, as uneven lines become clearly visible where they cross.
