Shack Birdhouse

I really like when birds sing nearby so I decided to build a birdhouse. I designed the shack as simple as I could but still keeping it practical – it is sturdy, weather resistant and the top opens for easy cleaning. The size of the shack birdhouse is 4” x 4” (10 cm X 10 cm) and the height is between 4” and 5.5” (10-14 cm). The challenge was to build this birdhouse without using any power tools.

I painted the shack birdhouse with acrylic paints and carved the top to imitate clay tiles.

Even though I enjoy bird songs I still think they are crazy every sunny morning. 🙂 That is why I expect to see something like this next spring:
