Free & Useful Chip Carving Patterns

I enjoy carving items people can actually use, and I’m glad to offer some of my most useful chip carving patterns to the woodcarving community for free. Each chip carving layout is designed with functionality aspects in mind, and I’ve included both an easy and a more challenging version whenever possible, so carvers of any skill level can find a pattern that they can carve with good results.

A simple chip carving pattern perfect for decorating leather strops. The design offers two sizes that fit standard containers. Ideal for beginners, the chips are spaced to prevent breakage. Includes a free printable PDF and a tip for cleaner cuts.
